Spiritual Journey Through Tarot and Oracle

June 27, 2019

Deck used:

Overall

Nine of Pentacles

  • A falcon is sitting tall on her gloved hand. Although the falcon is faithful to her, she is still protecting herself with the glove.
  • Her right hand is half closed. She is still working on something.
  • This card represents a self-made woman. Through self-mastery, discipline, and hard work, she has created a safe, stable, secure, and rich life. Although not given to opulence and ostentation, she is committed to quality. Sometimes the well-crafted is more expensive than the well-decorated. She values discipline, symbolized here by the falcon. This bird sits on her arm as the result of dedicated training. Because of that training, it will not fly away. She is in control.*
  • Independence is a very important element of this card. As a nine, it is associated with the Hermit, who has made his own way spiritually and is dependent on no one else. Our lady in the Nine of Pentacles has made not just a wonderful life but also one that she retains as much control over as is possible. Tower moments do happen, though, and so we know nothing is completely guaranteed.*
  • When your reading is graced with this card, make sure you appreciate it! The Nine of Pentacles is an excellent sign that life, right now, is quite good. You worked hard for everything you have. You have every right to indulge and enjoy it all.

Cards

Ace of Cups

  • The cup is overflowing, on top of that, the cup is made of gold! Abundance in the future.
  • The bird is about to take off. Beginning of something amazing!
  • Core meaning: An opportunity for an emotional experience or growth*
  • When this card blesses your reading, look for a tender gift from the universe. This will likely be an opportunity to experience, either through giving or receiving or even both, an unexpected gift of love or other deep emotional connection. Aces always represent fleeting moments. When it makes an appearance, act on it, for it will quickly fade away.*

V. The Hierophant

  • Core meaning: Living faith in everyday life.*
  • When the Hierophant comes to your reading, the most important thing to ask yourself is how what you believe matches what you think, say, and do. This card can represent a teacher who will help you identify your beliefs and assist you in determining how to best express those beliefs in your life.*
  • This card also indicates starting a formal training or educational program, such as pursuing a university degree or certification program of any sort.*

IV. The Emperor

  • Core meaning: Creating order and stability*
  • The Emperor generates straight lines, grids, and constancy. Associated with the number of four, the Emperor embodies all the characteristics of that number, including stability and reliability. Through creating plans and systems, he ensures the effective distribution of resources, ideally providing enough for all. The four emblems on his throne represent the four elements of air, water, earth, and fire. Symbolically, these are the finite resources at his disposal that must be used for the good of all. Through creating systems upon which we depend, he creates peace and stability in daily life. In such an environment, we needn’t worry constantly about basic survival. Instead, we have the safety and confidence needed to pursue other interests, such as art, philosophy, philanthropy, and spirituality. … When this card shows up in your reading, you know it is time to play the emperor in your own life. Look for ways that you can create structures and systems to help organize and improve your situation.*

Reflection
